The Culture


The cultural activities are organized by public enterprises “Žemat” (the acronym for College of aesthetical idea and anonymity) and „Ars communis“ based in Žeimiai Manor house. They pursue cultural tourism, information and ecology schemes which are directed towards contemporary and historic relations also they organize the cultural events, art projects, education programs related to heritage politics, town community galas,
residency and gallery models. The activity of organizations determines Žeimiai manor house functions and restoration strategies. The constant changing is the main concept and task for people working in the manor house.

Žemat

Žeimiai College of Aesthetic Thought and Anonymity represents history and culture of the Žeimiai manor house in the context of contemporary culture. “Žemat” pays much attention on impersonality and authorship problem of Manor house including the fragmentation of iconography about it. Likewise the collective is focused on enlarged social alienation and Žeimiai youth identity problems. “Žemat” develops collaboration,
collectivism and communication ideas in the ways that could be interesting also for local community.
