Till XVII century Zavišos, later Medekšos controled centre of Žeimiai manor house. The first person from Medekšos family, who located there constantly, was Steponas Pranciškus, judge of Kaunas territorial, after him- his son Dominykas, later- grandchild Dominykas, steward of Kaunas.
In 1780 Juozas kosakovskis, forthcoming bishop of Livonia, possessed of Žeimiai manos house. After his death (1794) his son Mykolas Kosakovskis (1769-1840) possessed manor house from creditors after him, till the Second World War, manor house was controled by Simonas Kosakovskis and his progenies. It was nationalized by Mikas Kosakovskis.
In 1959-65 there was Vocational School of Hubandry, later – hostel.
